Overview
Metaktik is a spin-off from Aalto University’s Space Technology Laboratory that develops metasurface antennas designed to be ultra-lightweight, flexible, and conformable to platform shapes. Its antennas are intended for integration into drones, satellites, and ground vehicles for communications and radar applications, including reduced radar visibility. The company estimates an addressable market of over €6 billion driven by a projected increase in satellites and UAVs. Metaktik raised €1 million in pre-seed funding backed by Maki.vc to begin business operations and scale industrial production. It plans to accelerate product development and secure strategic partnerships in aerospace, defense and telecom. The firm emerged from a Research to Business project funded by Business Finland.
