Overview

Metaresolver provides "clean, trustworthy data" for mobile advertising by vetting and correcting impression-level signals such as latitude-longitude and device identifiers. The company focuses on improving the foundational data that digital agencies use for smarter media buying rather than building audience-segmentation products. Founders Seamus McAteer (CEO) and Mike Rowehl (CTO) bring prior experience: McAteer co-founded M:Metrics and Rowehl was the first engineer at AdMob. Metaresolver spun out of Churn Labs, the startup generator created by Rowehl and Omar Hamoui. The startup has been working with beta customers since May. Earlier this year it raised a seed round led by Baseline Ventures and Harrison Metal Capital, with participation from Lerer Ventures, Eniac Ventures and iHatch Management; CrunchBase lists the round at $1.85 million while the company was still being asked to confirm that figure.
