By targeting unnecessary treatments, the company says its technology will reduce medication resistance, lower costs for farmers, and improve animal health and productivity. Micron was founded in 2019 by Daniel Izquierdo, Tara McElligott and Sean Smith. The startup plans to expand access to vets beginning with penetration across the Irish and UK markets and eventual wider global rollout. Financially, the company has raised a total of €5 million since inception.
