Founded in 2025 out of a project initially known as “Project Synapse,” Mind Robotics is building industrial robots designed to perform human-like skills and further automate factory operations. The company was spun out of Rivian with RJ Scaringe, Rivian’s CEO, serving as chairman. Mind Robotics has raised over $1 billion to date, including a recent $400 million round led by Kleiner Perkins and a $500 million raise two months earlier, plus a prior $115 million from Eclipse. The latest financing values the company at more than $3 billion. Investors include strategic corporate venture arms such as Volkswagen’s and major investors like Salesforce. The company is using the new capital to continue development and scaling of its industrial robotics technology.
