Overview
MindAffect is a Dutch neuroscience healthtech spin-off from Radboud University’s Donders Institute that develops brain-computer-interface (BCI) diagnostics for auditory and visual assessment. Its flagship product, Aurora, is an 8-channel headband that captures automatic brain responses to sound and produces full audiometric threshold results in under ten minutes. Aurora combines air and bone conduction testing and requires no active responses from patients, enabling testing for infants, young children and adults with disabilities. The company leverages patented BCI technology together with artificial intelligence. MindAffect plans to launch Aurora next year and is expanding applications to a combined hearing and vision test for young children and a glaucoma monitoring test for elderly patients. The company recently secured €1.1M in a Series A funding round to support commercialization and product development.
