Mindwell is an Ann Arbor, Michigan–based food company that makes high-protein plant-based jerky with no artificial flavors or ingredients. Founded in early 2017 by Allyson Stewart and Bridget Henley, the company sells its products in the Midwest at Plum Market, Dollop Coffee, and Chicago Equinox Wellness Grub cafes. Mindwell raised $100K in seed funding from the Zell Founders Fund, a student-led venture fund at the University of Michigan’s Zell Lurie Institute. The company intends to use the funds to expand the business through investments in working capital and marketing. Mindwell is growing and plans to launch in a large regional grocery chain in the fall.
