351 West 10th Street Room 101, Indianapolis, 46202

Overview

Founded in 2015, MindX builds educational centers and hybrid courses to teach coding and in-demand digital skills such as blockchain, data analytics and UI/UX design. The company operates 32 campuses across Vietnam and has graduated 35,000 students to date. MindX offers courses ranging from two months to six years, runs entrepreneurial and career-preparation programming, and claims more than 300 hiring partners to connect graduates with employers. Its hybrid model combines online instruction with in-person tutorials and has helped it expand into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where students previously learned virtually. MindX customizes offerings by spending months engaging with families in new locations and prioritizes standalone campuses to maintain curriculum and teaching quality. The company plans to expand to 45 cities by June and will use new funding to develop its product portfolio, hybrid model, tech tools, accredited programs, and scholarships to promote gender equality. MindX operates an online/offline education platform and 13 physical locations in Vietnam that offer multi-year coding and tech programs for students from kindergarten through university. The company was created as a non-profit in 2015 by Tung Nguyen and Ha Nguyen and later became a for-profit business. MindX partners with about 200 tech companies across Vietnam, Singapore, Japan and other countries to place graduates; it reports 100% hiring rates in Vietnam and 55% in Singapore, and alumni have gone on to roles at Google, Amazon and Shopee. The startup says it has been profitable for the last six years and saw 1,000% year-on-year growth in online enrollment as of September 2021. With the new funding, MindX plans to expand its online platform, produce more educational content, grow into Tier 2 and 3 cities and rural provinces, build a network of hiring partners, introduce income-share agreements by year-end, and apply blockchain to automate alumni–employer relationships.
