Mission Motors is a San Francisco-based developer of electric vehicle technology that provides energy storage, drive systems, software intelligence and system integration. The company is led by CEO Jit Bhattacharya and serves vehicle manufacturers, tier-one suppliers and fleet managers. Mission closed a $9.0m Series B financing to fund commercialization of its electric powertrain technologies. The round was led by Warburg Pincus, with participation from Infield Capital; Warburg made an initial $7.5m investment and holds the right to make additional injections up to a total of $50m at its discretion. This Series B brings Mission’s total funding to date to $15.0m. The company intends to use the proceeds to commercialize its powertrain technologies and expand partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
