Mobiletoong operates Travel Wallet, a mobile exchange service that facilitates foreign-currency exchanges and overseas payments via a prepaid check card. Users request currency exchange through the Travel Wallet app and can complete payments abroad; requests are available 24 hours a day. The company says its exchange transaction system can lower typical 1–10% bank or airport commissions to the zero percent level for all currencies. The team is led by CEO Kim Hyung-woo, who has over eight years managing foreign currency at Samsung Asset Management, and CFO Choi Woo-joon, formerly CFO of ITG. Mobiletoong plans to release Android and iOS versions of the Travel Wallet application in February. The company completed its seeded round with investment from Kakao Ventures.
