MobSquad supplies U.S. clients with teams of top software engineers and data scientists operating from satellite offices in Canada. The company announced plans to establish a new Calgary-based business and a downtown Calgary head office that will oversee operations across Canada. The project is approved for a $1.5 million investment from the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund, to be delivered in phases as jobs are created. As part of the expansion, MobSquad plans to create 150 new jobs in Calgary. The announcement was made at their new Calgary office and attended by federal and provincial ministers and the Calgary mayor, reflecting municipal support. MobSquad aims to address demand for highly skilled engineers in Silicon Valley by enabling Canadians and skilled immigrants to work remotely for leading U.S. technology startups.
