The product connects to a wide range of financial institutions to let members see all of their finances in one place. It includes collaboration features for partners, spouses, or financial professionals and an advisor feature that delivers personalized financial advice. Monarch says it helps users plan for the future and track progress against financial goals. Launched six years ago, the company positions itself as the most robust and fastest-growing personal finance platform. Following the new funding, Monarch plans to rapidly grow the team and expand the breadth of the platform. Monarch is a subscription-based platform that helps consumers plan and manage their financial lives through forecasting, goal-setting, and personal finance management tools. The product includes web, iOS and Android apps and combines PFM features—budgeting, reporting and investment analysis—with forward-looking planning and scenario forecasting. Monarch launched out of private beta in early 2021 and intentionally chose a subscription model rather than advertising or selling users’ financial data. Pricing is $9.99 per month or $89.99 per year. Since launching publicly, Monarch has been growing its paid subscriber base by about 9% per week. Founder and CEO Val Agostino was the first product manager on the original Mint.com team and built Monarch to provide planning and course-correction features beyond simple tracking and budgeting.
