Overview

At Forerunner, we believe in a better way to invest. We’re a venture capital firm focused on understanding the mindset of the modern consumer and identifying the people poised to deliver what they need. We believe that when entrepreneurs are poised to meet consumers not just where they are today but where they’re going to be tomorrow, they become more than just founders — they’re forerunners. By supporting them with funding, strategic wisdom, and consumer insight — our “CQ” — we help transform industries and drive culture forward. We’re a San Francisco-based team of veterans and visionaries from multiple disciplines. What unites us is a shared belief that “good enough” just isn’t good enough. We’ve used our combined expertise to support trailblazing brands like Dollar Shave Club, Warby Parker, Hims & Hers, and dozens more.

  • Wispr AI

    Participated · Series B · Aug 2026

Wispr AI is building voice-first foundation models to power Flow, a voice-to-text operating system layer that cleans filler words, structures thoughts and produces ready-to-use text in more than 25,000 apps and websites. The product’s accuracy is such that 90 % of spoken words require no edits, and after six months the average user writes 72 % of their characters with Flow, nearly halving daily typing time. The company reports 40 % month-over-month growth in both users and annual recurring revenue, and serves hundreds of thousands of users. Wispr envisions voice becoming the dominant interface and plans to expand Flow’s capabilities while hiring aggressively across engineering and product. A global partnership with “The Diary of a CEO” podcast will showcase the technology to an audience of over 35 million subscribers. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company has raised a total of $81 million from investors such as Notable Capital, Flight Fund, AIX Ventures, Menlo Ventures, NEA and 8VC. These funds will be used to scale its voice-native computing system worldwide.

Founded in 2025 by Kahlil Lalji with co-founders including Eric Wang and Walt Leung, Natural has operated in beta while making core architectural decisions. The company plans to support both traditional bank payments and USD-backed stablecoins as part of its architecture. Natural has attracted senior talent from fintech firms like Stripe, Ramp, and Square to accelerate product development. With $40 million in total funding after the Series A, the company is positioning itself to compete with incumbents such as Stripe and emerging rivals in the agentic payments space.

At the time of its Series C, company materials indicated users were generating over 7 million songs per day. The company has not publicly detailed specific future product plans or precise use of the new funds in the announcement.
