Morai provides full-stack autonomous vehicle simulation solutions that automatically convert HD map data into digital twins to create large-scale simulation environments. The company serves over 100 customers, including corporate clients such as Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai AutoEver, Naver Labs, and 42dot, and institutions like KAIST and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. Morai has formed partnerships with global vendors including NVIDIA, Ansys, and dSPACE. Founded in 2018 and led by CEO Jiwon Jung, the company has established a US office in the Bay Area and plans to open offices in Germany, Japan, and Singapore to expand its global presence. Morai intends to use recent funding to expand operations, advance development efforts, and apply its autonomous vehicle simulation technology to other verticals such as urban air mobility (UAM). The company has raised a total of USD 25m to date following a USD 20m Series B. Morai builds a simulation platform for verification and validation of autonomous vehicles, offering testing environments that range from complex city streets to warehouses and shipping yards. Its tools enable engineers to reproduce and test complex edge cases efficiently. Since its initial seed funding round, Morai has started partnerships with more than 30 organizations in and outside Korea. The company completed multiple proof-of-concept programs this year, joined the Automated with Velodyne program in May, and opened a branch office in San Francisco in July. Morai is led by CEO and co-founder Jiwon Jung and is a member company of Born2Global Centre and Sejong Technopark. The company intends to use its latest funds to continue developing its simulation software, scale the platform, and expand outreach to international customers and partners.
