Overview
Moxe offers 100% digital, API-first clinical data exchange solutions that digitize medical charts and enable bidirectional, secure information flow between providers, payers, and third-party requestors. Its platform is compatible with leading EHRs and supports use cases including risk adjustment, quality improvement, payment integrity, and care management. The company reported record growth: its network nearly doubled in the last year and it currently serves payers representing 75 million lives, leading third-party requestors, and more than 60 hospital systems. Moxe will use the new funding to prioritize team expansion and technology investments to further advance its clinical data exchange capabilities. As part of the round, Tom Schnettler and Kirk Nielsen joined Moxe’s board. The company positions itself to improve payer-provider collaboration, eliminate administrative waste, and put actionable insights directly into the clinical workflow. Madison, Wis.-based Moxe provides a clinical data clearinghouse that connects directly to all major EMR systems to enable granular extraction of complete clinical records and real-time, bi-directional sharing of clinical data. Its platform automates requests for information while enforcing release restrictions to ensure minimum necessary PHI release, supporting use cases such as risk adjustment, HEDIS and Star ratings, and regulatory compliance. The company says its network of payer and provider organizations together insure more than 50 million Americans and deliver tens of millions of annual visits. Moxe announced it has secured an additional round of capital to fuel commercial and product expansion and to scale its team, particularly in commercial, product, and engineering. The company reported it has released new products to simplify Release of Information and streamline collaboration around open care, risk, and quality gaps and claims to have saved clients tens of millions of dollars. Moxe frames the funding as positioning it to lead on payer-provider interoperability amid growing regulatory focus on standards-based APIs.
