Muir AI uses machine learning to estimate product-level and supply-chain (Scope 3) carbon emissions by virtually disassembling products into components and materials. The company ingests data from customers, open web repositories and peer-reviewed journals, and uses generative AI and probabilistic models to fill data gaps. When factory locations are known, Muir analyzes satellite imagery to extract features such as on-site renewables, smokestacks, trucks and parking lots to refine its estimates.
