Multifactor
San Francisco, CA, United States
Overview
Multifactor’s core product converts any online account—banking, email, calendars, social media or enterprise apps—into a secure, shareable link that can be restricted to read-only, feature-limited, or dollar-capped access. The system never reveals passwords and records every action with cryptographic signatures, delivering mathematically provable security that stands up to post-quantum threats. Designed for the fast-growing use of autonomous AI agents, the platform blocks prompt-injection, password-theft and confused-deputy attacks by granting only capability-based permissions. Founded by Ph.D. computer scientist and former CIA officer Vivek Nair and Ph.D. mathematician-cryptographer Colin Roberts, the company leverages a decade of cybersecurity research and national-security experience. Launched publicly just three weeks before the raise, the service is free to use and already seeing “strong early demand,” positioning the firm to address what investors call a multi-billion-dollar trust problem in AI adoption. Multifactor aims to replace traditional password managers and fragmented identity tools with a zero-trust, provably secure alternative. The recent seed financing provides the capital to scale product adoption and expand enterprise integrations.
