Multipl is a new-age fintech platform offering mutual-fund investments integrated with brands to let consumers invest as part of their lifestyle spends. The platform embeds a window-shopper widget on merchant websites and apps and has launched 'Open Goals' to let users invest toward future expenses via brand partnerships. Founded in 2020 and based in Bengaluru, Multipl was co-founded by Paddy Raghavan, Jags Raghavan, and Vikas Jain. The company reports 500,000 downloads, more than 100 brand partnerships, and has facilitated goals valued at over Rs 1,000 crore. Proceeds from the latest raise will fund enhancements and introduction of disruptive features to scale spend-vesting journeys. Competitors in the space include Groww, AngelOne, PhonePe and others. Multipl is a fintech app launched in 2020 that encourages ethical, goal-based saving by rewarding users for setting aside money for future expenses. Its core product is a ‘Plan Now, Pay Later’ experience that integrates savings, investing and spending to help users reach lifestyle goals. The company targets millennials and Gen Z and leverages a proprietary investment framework plus brand partnerships to generate market returns and exclusive benefits. Multipl has partnered with Indian brands including Croma, Kalyan Jewellers, Ather Energy, Turtlemint, Livespace, Yatra, PickYourTrail, Bounce and Home Capital to offer users cashback, coupons and other rewards. The startup claims to have crossed 1.5 lakh downloads in the first six months after opening app access. It plans to widen investment options, expand its user base fivefold, and accelerate product innovation using the new funding.
