Overview

MUSE builds and sells Armo, a store robot that automates in-store shelf stocking, EC picking and transports between backroom and shelves. Armo also scans shelf conditions and stores that data in MUSE’s Eureka Platform for real-time shelf visibility, out-of-stock detection, planogram drift and price checks. The robot supports customer-guidance features to lead shoppers to items and accepts modular extension units — e.g., transport, imaging and guidance — to serve multiple store tasks. MUSE says the system both raises staff productivity and creates a database that can be used for marketing and operational optimization. The company plans to accelerate Armo’s service deployment using the newly raised capital and has moved from a December 2023 verification with Belc to normal operations at two Saitama stores from June. MUSE was founded in April 2022 and previously closed a seed round in October 2022.
