Tribu News produces a monthly printed album — described as “the album that reconnects the generations” — that families create via an app to send photos and news to their (grand)parents. Users (grand)children upload photos and text to assemble a real family newspaper that is mailed each month. The product is subscription-based and became especially popular during the coronavirus pandemic, when demand and subscription sales surged. The company reports a 1,076% increase in new customers compared to 2019. Raised funds will be used to multiply subscribed families by ten and to implement app developments that facilitate interactions between Tribu members. CEO Arnaud de Cartier says the team will continue improving the app experience to strengthen intergenerational links.
