MyHealthPal is an iOS app and analytics platform that aggregates patients’ day-to-day data points into a dashboard to help manage medication, symptoms, mood, diet, exercise and other metrics. The product is initially focused on Parkinson’s Disease but the team says it could be applied to similar long-term conditions. The company was founded by Mike Barlow after his Parkinson’s diagnosis and positions itself as patient-designed. MyHealthPal allows users to donate anonymized data and receive a share of revenues that data generates for research institutions and charities. The startup says it complies with EU and US data privacy requirements and uses HIPAA-certified technology. It has launched a trial with Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and is in advanced discussions with other institutions and charities in the UK and US.
