Myricx Bio is a London-based biotech focused on discovery and development of a novel class of payloads for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) based on N-myristoyltransferase inhibitors (NMTi) for cancer treatment. NMT is an enzyme that adds a lipid modification to protein targets important for cancer cell survival, providing an orthogonal mechanism to existing microtubule and topoisomerase inhibitor payloads. In preclinical studies, Myricx has shown that NMTi ADCs achieve complete and durable tumor regressions at well-tolerated doses in multiple solid cancer models, including models refractory to topoisomerase inhibitor–based ADCs. The NMTi ADCs also demonstrate potent bystander activity and high efficacy in patient-derived xenograft organoid models across a broad range of antigen expression levels. The company plans to use the £90M Series A to advance its proprietary NMTi ADC pipeline through clinical proof of concept, targeting clinically validated tumor-associated antigens. Myricx is a spinout from Imperial College London and the Francis Crick Institute and will establish laboratory operations in London while expanding its management and R&D teams. It reports lead NMT inhibitors with high potency, selectivity and attractive drug-like properties and has shown activity in MYC-driven cancer models. With an initial £4.5M seed investment from Sofinnova Partners and Brandon Capital Partners, Myricx is prioritising development of its lead small-molecule inhibitors to build a proprietary targeted oncology pipeline. The company plans to advance compounds toward preclinical and IND-enabling studies and is expanding its R&D team at the Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst facility in the UK.
