Nanoleq develops smart-textile components and consumer wearables based on material innovations out of ETH Zurich. Founded in 2017 by four biomedical engineers, the company started as a supplier and enabler for smart-textile businesses and commercialized stretchable cables and dry electrodes that are comfortable, washable, and simplify manufacturing. Its components serve e-textile applications ranging from vital-sign monitoring to electrical stimulation. The company has 24 employees and opened a Berlin location in 2022 for marketing, design, and software development. In the coming months Nanoleq will launch its own brand and a revolutionary wearable that offers interactive exercises with live biofeedback to help users regain control over their mental health, targeting the breathing market. The recently closed financing will support scaling operations, customer demand for smart components, and the consumer product launch.
