  • Freshflow

    Participated · Series A · Jun 2026

Freshflow develops AI made exclusively for fresh grocery ordering that the company says delivers up to 30% less spoilage and 2–4% more revenue per store. Its solution runs daily at nine leading grocers across Germany and France, including merchants within EDEKA, Carrefour and Intermarché. The team has shown commercial traction with measurable waste reduction and revenue uplift at live retailers. World Fund first backed Freshflow at its 2022 pre-seed and has continued to invest through this Series A. The company frames its product as addressing the large food-waste problem in grocery retail while producing financial savings for retailers.

  • Omegga

    Led · Seed · Apr 2026

Omegga combines AI, optics and industrial systems to deliver a spectroscopy-based platform that determines the sex of embryos already in the egg, aiming to prevent the widespread culling of male chicks. Founded in 2020 in Munich, the company reports that its technology is already in industrial use with initial customers. The startup positions its platform as non-invasive material analysis with potential applications beyond poultry, including agriculture, food production and industrial quality control. Omegga plans to use the €10 million Seed financing to scale deployment, expand its team and further develop the platform to address additional use cases.

  • Logistikbude

    Led · Series A · Mar 2026

Founded in 2021 as a spinout from the Fraunhofer Institute, Logistikbude has developed a Load Carrier Management System (LCMS) that consolidates data from WMS, TMS and ERP systems and supplements gaps via a native app, IoT sensors and AI-driven document processing. Its core technology uses artificial intelligence to automatically extract and post data from PDFs and Excel documents, automating manual reconciliation and bookkeeping tasks related to load carrier exchanges. The company serves customers including Nagel-Group and DACHSER and processes over 50 million load carriers per month. Since its 2023 seed round, Logistikbude has grown its team from 4 to 25 employees. With the new Series A capital, the company plans to scale the LCMS internationally and strengthen its leadership in the newly defined software category.

  • SenseUP

    Led · Seed · Jan 2026

SenseUP is a Cologne-based ag-biotech startup creating double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) biopesticides that selectively disable pests via RNA interference while sparing soil, plants, and wildlife. Its key innovation is engineering Corynebacterium strains that both encapsulate dsRNA inside robust cell walls and produce it at high titers, giving the products 18-plus months of room-temperature stability and production costs that can compete with synthetic chemicals. Proprietary fluorescence-activated biosensors screen millions of strains per second, allowing rapid identification of top dsRNA producers and enabling single products that can target multiple pests simultaneously. The company has completed initial field trials and is now advancing roughly 15 product candidates, with greenhouse and expanded field results expected in 2026. SenseUP plans to submit regulatory dossiers and commercialize through partnerships with major agricultural firms, initially focusing on the U.S. and South American markets while also eyeing Europe. The seed financing provides capital to expand its portfolio, grow its team, and deepen strategic collaborations. No revenue figures have been disclosed, and this seed raise represents the first publicly reported external funding for the company.

  • Rencore

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2025

Rencore offers a cloud-native platform that lets large organizations inventory, analyze and control collaboration, security and compliance across Microsoft 365, the Power Platform, and AI-driven services such as Copilot and enterprise agents. Its newest capabilities, branded AI and Agent Governance, help enterprises monitor how AI systems interact with business data, enforce policies, and mitigate exposure risks. The software is already used by global companies including Amgen, Honeywell, Lufthansa Group and Siemens Healthineers. The firm plans to use fresh capital to grow its product and engineering teams and scale go-to-market operations in Europe and North America. Rencore expects accelerating demand as CIOs adopt AI at scale and need tools to maintain security and regulatory alignment. The company has now raised a total of USD 15 million in Series A financing to support these initiatives.
