NeoLogic is a fabless semiconductor startup founded in 2021 by Avi Messica and Ziv Leshem that is developing energy-efficient server CPUs for AI data centers. Its CPUs use simplified logic with fewer transistors and logic gates to run faster while consuming less power. The founders together have about 50 years of semiconductor experience, with Leshem having worked at Intel and Synopsis and Messica focusing on circuit design and manufacturing. NeoLogic is working with two hyperscaler partners on CPU design, aims to produce a single-core test chip by the end of the year, and hopes to get its server CPUs into data centers by 2027. The company recently raised a $10 million Series A led by KOMPAS VC and will use the funds to expand its engineering team and continue CPU development. Management says the architecture could shave roughly 30% off data-center costs and help address rising energy demands as AI-driven power use is expected to double in four years.
