NetBase develops semantic technology that reads and understands English to find and extract the most relevant information from billions of online sources. Its platform provides context for search results and guides users to highly relevant answers. The company’s solutions support market researchers with netnography and social media understanding and help science, technology and medical (STM) publishers speed and improve search of proprietary content. NetBase counts customers including Procter & Gamble and two of the top three STM publishers, including Elsevier. The company plans to use new funding to build out sales, marketing, business development and product management functions and to expand its hosted cloud operations. NetBase aims to aggressively develop and serve new markets.
