Neurelo provides an abstraction layer that automatically generates purpose-built APIs tailored to a developer’s data model, simplifying read and write interactions between databases and applications. The company gives visibility into each generated API rather than presenting it as a black box. It leverages a custom large language model to generate database queries that understand different databases and query languages. Neurelo launched in August 2022; co-founders are CEO Chirag Shah (formerly at MongoDB) and CTO Guru Kamat (formerly at Stripe). The product moved through a beta and is generally available today. The team has grown to 12 people from an initial seven-person engineering team and plans to hire a few more in the coming months.
