- OpenObserve
Participated · Series A · Apr 2026
OpenObserve offers a single high-performance observability platform that ingests logs, metrics, traces and real user monitoring, built on an S3-native Parquet architecture that the company says delivers 140x lower storage costs with zero database management. The platform includes features for pipelines, visualization, incident management, anomaly detection and a new suite of AI capabilities such as an AI site reliability engineer (AI-SRE), as well as MCP support and LLM observability to monitor AI systems. OpenObserve highlights broad developer and enterprise adoption—its open-source project has over 18,000 GitHub stars and more than 6,000 organizations, including many Fortune 100 customers, actively using the platform. The company has expanded regional availability to the U.S. West and the EU and added hosting support on Microsoft Azure. OpenObserve was founded in 2022 and is based in Menlo Park, California, and has recently named Shani Shoham as chief revenue officer to lead commercial growth.
- StackGen
Participated · Seed · Sep 2024
StackGen (formerly AppCD) provides an infrastructure-from-code service that infers required cloud infrastructure from application source code. The platform autogenerates Terraform and Helm charts and applies the company’s "golden standards" to help enforce compliance with frameworks such as SOC2 and HIPAA. It also visualizes the generated infrastructure and offers a drag-and-drop interface for users to modify or add resources. Today the product supports AWS and Azure, with Google Cloud support planned in the future. CEO Sachin Aggarwal is a serial entrepreneur whose prior companies were acquired (including Qualys, Omega Healthcare and Tenable), and his last startup Accurics informed StackGen’s focus on shifting security left. The company has early traction with a Dev Edition and recently closed a $12.3M seed round.
- Lineaje
Participated · Series A · Jul 2024
Lineaje builds a platform to discover, manage and secure software components across an organization’s supply chain, detecting tampered packages and outdated or vulnerable open-source software. The product flags likely vulnerabilities, recommends available fixes and warns against remediations that might break software. The founders, Javed Hasan and Anand Revashetti, built the company from prior cybersecurity experience at vendors including Symantec, McAfee and Norton. Lineaje emphasizes defense work and claims a contract with the U.S. Air Force’s “Eagle Eyes” program along with relationships with other federal agencies. The startup competed in a crowded market that includes Kusari, Ox Security, Chainguard, Dustico and Endor and faces efforts from Google, Amazon and Microsoft to improve OSS security. Last year was Lineaje’s first year of revenue; it has about 30 employees and plans to double headcount by the end of the year. Lineaje builds SBOM360, an industry-first software supply chain and software bill of materials (SBOM) manager that identifies components, maps multi-level dependencies, and fingerprints components to attest supply-chain authenticity. The product enables software producers and consumers to create, publish, and evaluate SBOMs, search deployed software for vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise, and support compliance with U.S. Executive Order 14028 and other regulations. Lineaje reports managing more than 150,000 SBOMs spanning custom applications, open-source packages, commercial off-the-shelf software, mobile apps, and containers. The company announced a distribution agreement with Persistent Systems to resell SBOM360 and help customers create and manage secure software supply chains. Lineaje closed a $7 million seed round led by Tenable Ventures and plans to use the proceeds to accelerate go-to-market, invest in R&D, and expand its workforce. Tenable has selected Lineaje as one of three inaugural members of Tenable Ventures and is collaborating to create shareable data models to improve runtime security.
- Neurelo
Participated · Seed · Jan 2024
Neurelo provides an abstraction layer that automatically generates purpose-built APIs tailored to a developer’s data model, simplifying read and write interactions between databases and applications. The company gives visibility into each generated API rather than presenting it as a black box. It leverages a custom large language model to generate database queries that understand different databases and query languages. Neurelo launched in August 2022; co-founders are CEO Chirag Shah (formerly at MongoDB) and CTO Guru Kamat (formerly at Stripe). The product moved through a beta and is generally available today. The team has grown to 12 people from an initial seven-person engineering team and plans to hire a few more in the coming months. The company raised $5 million in seed funding to build on this vision.
- AppMap
Participated · Equity · Nov 2023
AppMap develops code visualization and runtime code review analysis technology that delivers actionable insights to developers where they work. Its Runtime Code Review solution and language-specific libraries aim to improve software quality through visualization and runtime analysis. The company reports its libraries have been distributed to codebases in 160 countries and have amassed over 1 million downloads. AppMap recently released its first CI product, a GitHub Action that brings instant insights into pull requests. The company plans to use new capital to accelerate platform development, grow the team, and expand its go-to-market strategy. AppMap was founded in 2020 and is based in Boston, MA.
