Neuroplast
Urmonderbaan 22, Geleen, Limburg, 6167 RD, Netherlands
Overview
Neuroplast develops Neuro-Cells®, an autologous treatment manufactured from a patient’s own bone marrow‑derived hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells designed to act in the acute phase after traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI). The company completed a Phase I clinical trial that confirmed safety and tolerability without product‑related adverse events and is preparing an international multicenter randomized placebo‑controlled Phase II study. Neuroplast holds a GMP license and has received a European Orphan Designation to enable fast‑track development toward conditional EMA approval. The Series B funding will support running Phase II and III trials, consulting with the EMA and executing a Health Technology Assessment. Neuroplast was founded in August 2014 and is based at Brightlands Chemelot Campus in the Netherlands. The company plans to explore broader applicability of the Neuro-Cells® platform to other primarily inflammation‑driven neurological disorders and is seeking complementary investment for those activities.
