Overview
Nexo Therapeutics combines covalent ligand discovery and chemical biology to discover and develop small‑molecule cancer therapies against challenging targets. Its CODON (Covalent Discovery and Optimization) chemistry engine employs a proprietary library, covalent fragments against ligandable amino acids, and scalable biochemical and in‑cell proteomics to identify and rapidly optimize hit compounds for in vivo studies. The INFINI‑T chemical biology capability uses chimeric fusion proteins controllable by small molecules in cellular and in vivo models to define required depth, duration and selectivity of target inhibition and to generate target product profiles before lead optimization. Nexo intends to leverage these platforms to unlock a pipeline of novel cancer therapies and to reduce the time and capital needed to advance candidates to the clinic. The company emerged from stealth with a $60 million Series A financing to support platform operation and program advancement. Nexo has facilities in Golden, Colorado and Watertown, Massachusetts and is led by founder and CEO Andrew Phillips, Ph.D. The company also announced a multi‑year strategic research collaboration with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
