Nucleus RadioPharma manufactures radiopharmaceuticals and manages the time-sensitive logistics required to deliver those radioactive cancer therapies to hospitals before they decay. Founded in late 2022 and launched in 2023 with a $56 million Series A, the company opened its Rochester manufacturing facility on the Mayo Clinic campus and plans a second regional hub outside Philadelphia. Its strategy centers on expanding regional manufacturing capacity to address supply-chain bottlenecks caused by short half-lives of radioactive isotopes. The recent $50 million financing from OrbiMed will fund further expansion at Rochester and construction of the Philadelphia-area site. Nucleus currently employs 56 full-time staff and is hiring as it ramps toward full operations, aiming to have the new regional center operational by 2028.
