Nulab is a Japanese collaboration software company whose products serve international teams of all sizes. Founded in 2004 by Shinsuke Tabata, its suite is used by more than 4 million people in over 190 countries. Its core products include project management and issue tracking tool Backlog, cloud-based diagramming software Cacoo, and chat app Typetalk. The company raised $5M in funding and plans to use the proceeds to add features and integrations across its three products. It will hire more developers in its North American and European offices and increase international marketing efforts. Nulab is also developing a new security product called "Nulab Pass" for Backlog, Cacoo, and Typetalk, planned for release in Summer 2020. The company maintains offices in New York, Amsterdam, Singapore, Tokyo, Kyoto and is headquartered in Fukuoka.
