OKCoin is a Chinese bitcoin trading platform and global trading exchange led by CEO Star Xu. It focuses on providing stable Bitcoin transactions. The exchange reports a current daily trade volume of approximately 50,000 bitcoins and has recorded over 300,000 bitcoin and 13 million litecoin trades. On March 17, 2014 the company raised $10m in a Series A round led by Ceyuan, with participation from Mandra Capital, VenturesLab and other angel investors. OKCoin intends to use the funds for team and international expansion, research and development, and security improvement. The financing supports its planned expansion and product development efforts.
