Overview
VenturesLab was founded in 2005 by Mark Mai and legendary venture capitalist Tim Draper. It was China's first internet-business incubator. In 2010, VenturesLab started to mainly focus on early stage investment and became a top name among China entrepreneur community. It incubated and invested in nearly 100 startups since 2005 across many kinds of Internet related fields. VenturesLab shares business expertise, tears and cheers with like-minded entrepreneurs dedicated to developing China’s internet industry. AI Rudder intends to use new funding to roughly double headcount to around 300 employees and to serve more clients. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Singapore, the team focuses on scaling product and commercial reach across additional markets. AI Rudder builds voice AI and voice automation software to help businesses automate B2C communications and reduce call-center costs by automating repetitive tasks and lowering agent workload. Its solutions are used across industries including banking, fintech, and e-commerce, with clients such as Kredivo, Adira Finance, and FinVolution. Founded in July 2019 and based in Singapore, the company focuses on enhancing AI and product capabilities to provide more intelligent voice and language services. In November 2021 AI Rudder raised $10.0M (S$13.5M) in a Series A funding round. Existing investors Zhen Fund, IMO Ventures, Zizhu Xiaomiao Fund, and Huashan Capital participated alongside the co-leads. The company plans to use the funding for growth and expansion into more countries in the Asia Pacific and beyond, and to advance product and AI development.

Dowsure (豆沙包) operates a digital API platform serving cross-border e‑commerce sellers. In 2017 it pioneered cross-border e‑commerce insurance in China, and in 2019 it launched digital financial products with banks using its API technology, models, and algorithms. Over years in the sector it has accumulated cross-border scenario understanding, system implementation capabilities, and risk‑control technology output. On July 19 the company completed a B3 financing round totaling several tens of millions of RMB. The financing came from the Service Trade Innovation Development Guidance Fund. Dowsure says it will use technology‑driven product innovation to empower domestic and foreign financial institutions and provide inclusive, reasonable, and convenient financial services to domestic cross‑border e‑commerce SMEs. Dowsure is a Shenzhen-based fintech that provides unified lending experiences and lending technology for cross-platform sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Shopee, Lazada and Shopify DTC sellers. It serves as Amazon’s lending service provider and has built a proprietary assessment model with data API connectivity and account-locking features. The company works with dozens of Chinese banks to enable pure credit loans based on store data with no collateral, acting as technology and data provider. Its lending technology business has operated for eight months and has facilitated more than CNY 35 billion in GMV for Chinese sellers on the Amazon platform. Dowsure says its assessment model and algorithms can be implemented for other digital assets that have continual online cash flow but are underbanked by traditional financial institutions. Following the $20M Series B, the company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations.
