OncoEthix is a Swiss-based biotechnology company founded in 2009 that is developing a small portfolio of oncology drug candidates. Its lead asset, OTX015, is an orally administered synthetic small molecule targeting BET bromodomain proteins 2/3/4, in-licensed from Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma in March 2012 following Phase I studies in healthy volunteers. A two-strata Phase I study in acute leukemia and other hematologic malignancies began in January 2013. The company plans to use the new financing to progress OTX015 into Phase II proof-of-concept studies and to expand preclinical pharmacological and clinical development programs. Management includes Founder and CSO Dr Esteban Cvitkovic and CEO Bertrand Damour. OncoEthix is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
