7000 Central Parkway Suite 1750, Atlanta, GA, 30328, United States
Overview
OncoHealth develops novel diagnostics for cervical cancer and other cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Its testing technology is designed to differentiate stages of cancer progression, enabling clinicians to triage HPV-infected patients and select more effective treatments. The company plans to commercialize proprietary tests that could reduce unnecessary testing and treatments; in the U.S. its tests could spare more than 10 million women annually and save over $2.5 billion to the healthcare system. OncoHealth secured an oversubscribed syndicated Series A of $1.6 million anchored by Sand Hill Angels and Life Science Angels. The funds will partly support the company’s participation in a comparative study being conducted by the federal government and a national reference laboratory to evaluate its technology. The company is based in Redwood City, Calif., and is using angel syndication to fund early-stage development and achieve key value-creation milestones.
