Oncomfort, based in Wavre near Brussels and founded in 2017 by Diane Jooris, Gérald de Patoul, Mario Huyghe and Julien Tesse, develops Digital Sedation™ — therapeutic virtual reality sessions to relieve pain and anxiety. Its core product is the Sedakit™ for Digital Sedation™, launched in Benelux and France in June 2019. The solution has been used across anesthesia, oncology, interventional radiology, cardiology and pediatrics, treating over 30,000 patients. The company completed a €10m Series A funding round to support development of its digital therapy solutions and accelerate international expansion. The round was co-led by Debiopharm and Crédit Mutuel Innovation, with continuing support from Wallonia Innovation and Growth (W.IN.G) and existing investors. Both institutional investors will join Oncomfort’s newly composed Board of Directors.
