OneSpace operates a virtual workforce platform that connects businesses with prequalified on-demand freelance talent and a robust toolset for integrating internal teams with virtual teams. The company has two proprietary, patent-pending technologies—QualitySmart (a quality assurance algorithm) and TrustScore (a performance scoring system)—to predict and measure freelancer output. OneSpace claims a talent network of more than 500,000 freelancers and says it has facilitated over 120 million assignments for clients including eBay, Facebook, Staples and others. The company maintains a 60-person team at its St. Louis headquarters and is led by CEO Stephanie Leffler. OneSpace plans to launch a self-service SaaS version of its platform for enterprise clients by mid-2016 while continuing to offer managed services for customers who prefer external experts to manage cloud-based talent. The recent funding will be used to expand the product suite and execute the go-to-market strategy for the SaaS offering.
