The product helps businesses manage and motivate salespeople by enhancing reporting, improving accountability, creating friendly competition, and celebrating wins. It integrates with almost 30 different CRM systems and is used by over 250 companies in the UK, including Recruitment Entrepreneur, Xcede, Investigo, and Premier Group. The company currently employs 36 staff. OneUp plans to use the new funding to enhance its existing product, launch a commission management solution later this year to simplify calculating and managing sales commission, and to create a number of new jobs in the year ahead. The latest investment follows two earlier funding rounds from Mercia and MEIF totalling £750,000. Stormburst Studios is a Birmingham, UK-based startup co-founded by Derry Holt and James Heath that develops game‑inspired software for business use. Its core product, OneUp, lets sales teams compete in a fantasy-sports style competition, using leaderboards and dashboards to replace spreadsheets. OneUp is designed to motivate and engage employees while giving managers detailed performance insights. The company raised seed funding to continue product development and expand commercial efforts. Planned uses for the capital include further development of the OneUp platform, key hires in marketing and business development, and building relationships with clients across recruitment, insurance and telesales sectors.
