Oorja offers a cloud-based hybrid physics+ML predictive-modelling platform that enables designers and engineers to create accurate, reliable battery and pack solutions under real-life conditions. The startup provides a suite of apps addressing material selection, range prediction, capacity fade, thermal management, and cell design. Its tools aim to help automotive OEMs optimize battery packs, reduce time to market and lower development costs. Within a year of its existence Oorja has launched its product and apps and currently serves over 15 customers across Asia and Europe. The company is part of the ISTEM program, received an SISFS grant via PDEU, and is incubated at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore under Mobility Cohort–2. Oorja positions its technology as a way to reduce battery fires and degradation, making EVs more efficient and accelerating EV adoption. It plans to use new funding to further build its product and expand into European and North American markets.
