  • Newtrace

    Participated · Series A · Mar 2026

Founded in 2021 by Prasanta Sarkar and Rochan Sinha, Newtrace designs and manufactures Voltagen, a proprietary electrode technology for alkaline water electrolyzers used in green hydrogen production. The electrodes are intended as drop-in replacements, enabling electrolyzer manufacturers, green hydrogen project developers and industrial gas companies to boost efficiency, extend system lifetimes and lower hydrogen costs without redesigning existing systems. The company plans to use its latest funding to scale pilot manufacturing, validate its technology with customers and broaden both engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Newtrace targets initial commercial deliveries of Voltagen electrodes within the next 12 months. For the fiscal year ended March 2025, it recorded operating revenue of Rs 1.8 crore while losses widened 73 % to Rs 15.6 crore. The firm positions itself at the intersection of climate tech and industrial hardware, aiming to accelerate the global transition to green hydrogen.

  • e-TRNL Energy

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2026

Founded in 2021 by Apoorv Shaligram and Uttam Kumar Sen, Bengaluru-based e-TRNL Energy is building advanced lithium-ion and emerging chemistry battery cells through a chemistry-agnostic, physics-based design approach. The company’s first commercial product will use LFP chemistry, with roadmap extensions into LMFP and sodium-ion technologies. e-TRNL operates a 20,000 sq. ft. R&D and early manufacturing facility and has secured two patents with additional filings in process. The startup’s technology targets improved safety, rapid charging, extended cycle life, and higher energy density while remaining compatible with scalable manufacturing. Capital from the current round will fund completion of product development, performance and safety validation, and demonstration of domestic manufacturing capability. e-TRNL plans to commission a 250 MWh pilot manufacturing plant by 2027 and eventually expand capacity to 2 GWh. Financial performance metrics have not yet been disclosed as the company is still in the product-development stage.

  • Moonrider

    Participated · Series A · Dec 2025

Founded in 2023 by Anoop Srikantaswamy, Moonrider designs and builds electric tractors through a vertically integrated platform spanning drivetrain, battery systems and electronics. The company claims its machines can cut farming and land-preparation expenses by up to 80 percent while being priced on par with conventional diesel tractors. Its target market is the roughly one million tractors sold annually in India, where rising fuel and maintenance costs threaten farm profitability. Moonrider’s strategy focuses on heavy-duty models that improve operational efficiency and support a transition to more sustainable agriculture. The recent capital raise will fund the shift from pilot deployments to a full commercial rollout. Earlier in January, the firm secured a $2.2 million seed round that helped complete initial pilots and product validation.

Stride Green plans to expand its platform, enter new geographies, and broaden into additional climate‑tech verticals. Founded by Ishpreet Gandhi and Vivek Jain and operating from Haryana, India, the company will use new funding to scale product capabilities and asset coverage.

  • The ePlane Company

    Participated · Series B · Nov 2024

ePlane, founded in 2019 by IIT Madras aerospace professor Satya Chakravarthy, is building the e200x eVTOL for intra-city commuter and cargo applications. The vehicle uses a lift-plus-cruise, winged architecture with vertical rotors and a proprietary "synergistic lift" technology to enable a compact eight-meter wingspan and tighter landing footprints. The company says the design can perform up to 60 trips a day on a single charge, cut commute times by as much as 85%, and operate at under twice a typical Uber fare. ePlane manufactures airframe components and assembles batteries at its IIT Madras facility while outsourcing battery cells, and the team previously developed unmanned drones for cargo and camera use. The startup has a workforce of over 100 people and was valued at $46 million post-money after its latest financing. It plans to prototype the e200x in the first half of 2025 and commercialize in mid-to-late 2026 pending Indian and global regulatory certifications, with expansion targets including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe. The ePlane Company develops compact electric flying taxis (the e200) with a hybrid rotor-and-wing design intended for short-range intra-city transport. The startup says its vehicle can enable 10× faster door-to-door commutes at about 1.5× the cost of a regular taxi and requires no dedicated infrastructure. The company has test-flown a lab-scale prototype and is on course for a full-scale prototype in April, with a cargo carrier targeted for February 2023 and a passenger version by December 2024. Founded in 2017 and launched in 2019, the firm was incubated at IIT‑Madras and the Kerala Startup Mission. Financially, it has raised $5.0 million in a pre-Series A and previously raised $1.0 million in a Seed round the prior March. The new funds will be used for product development, increased engineering bandwidth, local certification efforts, and hiring. The ePlane Company is an aerial mobility firm developing vertical-take-off-and-landing (VTOL) electric planes intended for small door-to-door urban commutes. The company was founded in 2017 and is incubated at IIT Madras; it was set up by Pranjal Mehta and Satya Chakravarthy, an IIT Madras professor. The firm is based in Bengaluru. It will use the newly raised seed capital to build out its engineering team, develop intellectual property, and conduct early product demonstrations this year. The company previously announced an undisclosed seed raise led by Speciale Invest with participation from CIIE.CO and ShareChat co-founder Farid Ahsan.
