Overview

OpenExchange provides video and virtual event solutions for financial communications, offering one-to-one, one-to-many and many-to-many video technologies, tools and services. Its platform bridges real-time videoconferencing, live-streaming and searchable on-demand video archives to enable investment and business communications. The company reports its network connects more than 100,000 video endpoints and has over 500,000 registered users. OpenExchange plans to further develop OE VIZION, a next-generation platform for virtual and hybrid events. It also intends to pursue complementary acquisitions in content development, meeting logistics, media streaming and data analytics to expand capabilities. The company is led by CEO Mark Loehr and operates from offices in Boston, New York, London, Hong Kong and Seoul. OpenExchange offers a community-based video collaboration platform for the financial services and investor relations community, combining video conferencing interoperability with an authenticated global directory. Members can make scheduled and instant video calls from conference rooms, desktops, and mobile devices through a secure, easy-to-use interface. The product is designed to integrate video into existing meeting workflows and to serve public companies, investment banks, and asset managers. OpenExchange has expanded its partnership with Ipreo to integrate its videoconferencing capabilities into Ipreo’s investor relations workflow application, with broader integration into Ipreo platforms planned for 2014. The company says it will use new capital to expand client service infrastructure and enhance product capabilities and expects virtual meetings to become pervasive in the financial community within two years. Barclays and Ipreo have taken strategic roles with board participation and observer seats as the company scales its community offering.
