Optikan builds an industrial terahertz scanner designed to inspect manufactured products in real time on production lines. The company aims to democratize the use of terahertz technology in industry and to offer a concrete lever to reduce manufacturers' carbon footprints, according to Jean-Baptiste Perraud. Optikan will use the new funding to finance development of its industrial scanner. The product is positioned for on-line quality control in manufacturing environments.
