813 E Ogden Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89101, United States
Overview
OrderWithMe provides a platform that aggregates small businesses so they can source, order and pay for supplies and components together, capturing supplier economies of scale. The company serves eight verticals today, including bike shops, bakeries, children’s stores, photo & printing and plumbing. Its network represents more than $3.2 billion in annual purchasing volume. OrderWithMe offers an end-to-end purchasing solution spanning electronic purchase orders, invoices and payments, and has hired a former PayPal director to lead its payments business. The startup plans to build out operations into new verticals (with multiple industry partners lined up) and to develop a new product aimed at bringing a different consumer experience into brick-and-mortar stores. To date the company has raised $37 million and says the latest funding will support those expansion and product plans. OrderWithMe operates a cloud-based central ordering platform that enables small business owners to build, manage and track purchase orders, communications and payments to all their vendors in one place. The service aggregates buying power across businesses so customers can negotiate larger volume discounts and streamline inventory purchasing, saving owners substantial time. The company has operations in China and the U.S. and recently established a downtown Las Vegas office as its formal U.S. headquarters. Management says it plans to play a central role in the downtown community through events, education sessions and hackathons focused on solutions for local independent businesses. OrderWithMe is a past TechCrunch Disrupt winner and cited Las Vegas’s lower costs and convention-driven ecosystem as factors in its expansion decision. The business is currently funded following a recently closed Series B. OrderWithMe is a group-buying platform that helps merchants purchase goods in bulk from Chinese suppliers at discounted prices. A mainly American team handpicks daily inventory deals from Chinese companies and only activates offers if enough merchants indicate interest. The service handles payment, shipping and order-splitting in China to circumvent middlemen and level the playing field for smaller businesses. It had been available only to US merchants but the company lifted that restriction and plans to give special attention to Japan following investment. The startup will use the funding to build out infrastructure, add employees, bolster marketing, and launch a new site in about 35 days. OrderWithMe is a Chinaccelerator graduate and is led by CEO Jonathan Jenkins.
