Osavul is a Kyiv AI-powered media intelligence company founded in February 2022 that has developed an AI-driven platform for information environment assessment. Its solution ingests and analyses text, video and audio from websites, social media and other platforms to structure narratives, map sources and detect coordinated networks. The team leverages AI and ML to process big data, detect sophisticated narrative attacks and identify actors spreading disinformation—work it has applied globally, including analysis for NATO. Osavul began as an approach to propaganda and deception, earned the title of Honorary Digital Ambassador of Ukraine, and became a technology partner on EU Commission-funded projects. Osavul is a Ukrainian AI company that develops a platform integrating Large Language Models to find, analyse, and timely neutralise disinformation threats. Its software has been implemented by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and by Ukrainian security and defence departments. Founders Dmytro Pleshakov and Dmytro Bilash created the company in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion to defend Ukraine’s reputation. Osavul offers its solution to public and private organisations seeking to build resistance to misinformation. The company plans to expand its products to international markets and cooperate with foreign companies and government organisations.
