Ovia Health, operating under its original name Ovuline, is a health IT company that applies big data and machine-learning algorithms to the fertility and pregnancy space. Its flagship Smart Fertility and Pregnancy Tracker mobile products analyze a woman’s unique cycle data, predict peak fertility windows, and provide personalized health guidance. The platform was built in collaboration with Harvard scientists, fertility experts, and a nationwide community of mothers, and it also integrates data from mobile health-tracking devices. Ovuline completed the Boston Techstars accelerator in November 2012 and is venture-backed by Lightbank, LionBird, Launch Capital, and Techstars founder David Cohen. The company positions itself as a tool for couples to get pregnant faster and experience healthier pregnancies. To support continued product development and growth, Ovuline has just secured an additional $1.1 million from its existing investor base.
