Pallon (formerly Hades) is an ETH Zurich spin‑off that uses machine learning and computer vision to automatically detect defects in sewer inspection videos and advise engineers on when and how to perform repairs. The company's AI-based software aims to make inspection results more objective and less error-prone than manual analysis. Pallon is already active in multiple countries, including Germany and the U.S. Founded in 2019, Pallon plans to use additional capital to expand operations and scale deployment to make urban infrastructure maintenance more sustainable and resilient. The company recently completed an oversubscribed seed round of $1.9 million. Pallon participated in MINI & Urban Us’ URBAN‑X accelerator, which helped connect it to investors and industry partners.
