Pathfinder Medical developed a proprietary, precision-guided technology to align catheters and create endovascular arteriovenous fistulas (endoAVF), enabling a minimally invasive alternative to open surgical AVF creation for dialysis. The company aims to improve clinical outcomes, reduce surgical trauma, and generate cost savings for payers by enabling endovascular connections between arteries and veins. The fundraising will support additional pre-clinical work, completion of a pivotal patient trial, and regulatory approval ahead of commercialisation in key global markets. Pathfinder highlights the large addressable need, noting over three million dialysis patients worldwide and nearly 650,000 surgical AVF procedures performed annually. To date the business has received over £6 million of funding from Deepbridge, a consortium of angels and specialist grant funders.
