Its programs are also available to frontline workers at Fortune 500 companies, including access for nearly 1.5 million Walmart and Sam’s Club team members through Guild Education. Pathstream plans to use new funding to continue scaling its core product that simultaneously serves individuals and employer hiring needs. Pathstream is a San Francisco-based company that creates educational programs for colleges in partnership with Silicon Valley tech firms. Led by CEO Eleanor Cooper, the company partners with employers to create courses offered for credit through a network of more than twenty U.S. colleges and universities. It focuses on software-specific skills such as Tableau, Salesforce and Facebook Ad Manager, delivered via an online platform that enables students to practice job-relevant skills. Last year Pathstream signed a partnership with Facebook to design a certificate program for Facebook’s Digital Marketing software; those courses are now offered at more than twenty colleges nationwide. The company is also working with Unity to create a Certificate in Immersive Design using virtual and augmented reality. Financially, Pathstream raised $12M in a Series A round from investors including TDM Partners, Hereditas Capital Management, Bisk Ventures, New Ground Ventures and Rethink Education.
