Penbox provides a platform for collecting documents and structured information, using smart forms and customer data enrichment to reduce administrative burden for insurance brokers. The company is integrated into Portima’s Brio brokerage management platform and is used by more than 130 insurance brokers. Since launching in November 2019, Penbox has invited over 100,000 Belgian residents to share information with brokers, expanded to the Flemish market in September 2021, and grew from 25 clients in 2020 to 130+ clients. The team was incubated at KBC Start-it, received a grant from Innoviris, and has been recognized in several fintech and insurance industry programs and awards. Penbox plans to double headcount from 11 to 20 by June 2022, increase its customer base by the end of 2022, attract larger Belgian players, and expand into the French market. The company recently closed a €1.5m fundraising to accelerate growth and consolidate its presence in the Belgian brokerage market.
