Pet Food UK produces dry premium natural pet food under the Barking Heads (dogs), Meowing Heads (cats) and AATU brands. AATU, introduced in 2015, follows an 80/20 meat-to-vegetable formula as a protein-forward dry offering. Founded in 2009 by Paul Hunter, Dave O’Regan and Jim Moloney, the company operates from Hemel Hempstead and employs 20 staff. Its brands are sold in more than 1,500 UK stockists including Pets At Home, Jollyes and Tesco, alongside many independent pet food specialists. Revenue exceeds £10m and sales across Scandinavia, Ireland, Russia and the Czech Republic represent nearly 30% of the business. The company plans to use proceeds to expand brand marketing, international sales, ecommerce and product development.
